LOOKING FOR SPONSORS!

Many universities, museums and institutions were interested in having the exhibitition "The Indian Sari: Draping Bodies, Revealing Lives".

However, following the death of Chantal Boulanger we are no longer in a position to mount exhibitions. Despite that , we hope that through the work of Chantal and others that the Indian Art of draping will continue to flourish. More than a hundred sari styles have now been documented and we are very pleased that these drapes have now been made known to the world .

The research , projects and exhibitions were made with the love and dedication of a few individuals, using their own means.

You can see from this web site the details from some of the exhibitions that Chantal displayed in various parts of the world over the years. At the time of her death she was working on an exhibition that was to have taken place in Singapore in March 2005.

"Lindsay Shen and I presented the exhibit to the Minnesota Humanities Commission. They are a large funding organization, and invited us to present to their board, as a good example of some of the interesting and educational projects that they fund! We had a very good response from the audience. It is a real honor, not only to the gallery, but especially to you and your research! Congratulations!"
Susheela Hoefer, co-curator of the exhibition at the Goldstein Gallery
