We arrive with the women of the family carrying offerings at the temple hall where the ceremony will take place

In place in the wedding hall: We siting front of the offereings and our friends assembled. Note my hair style.

Begining of the ceremony: The two priests start the rituals. Note in front of me the coconut and flower garlands on a tray. The "tali" (wedding pendant) is tied around the coconut (it's the shiny thing on top).

Rajappa Gurukkal give the tali (a special gold pendant on a cotton string) to Peter.

Peter ties the tali around my neck with three knots.

Peter puts some "kumkum" (a red powder symbol of happiness and the Goddess) on the tali.

Peter puts the kumkum on my forehead: it's the "red dot" that Hindu women wear.

We exchange our flower garlands three times.

Holding each other's hand, we turn three times around the respresentation of God (The pot with a coconut on top).

Peter puts my "metti" (two silver rings on the second toe of each feet).

At the end of the ceremony, we pose with my parents and Rajappa Gurukkal (the priest).

Above, at the end of reception, we release ballon from the hotel's terrace.
